32-Week Update and Baby Shower!

It's hard to believe, but I am now at the point where I go to the doctor EACH WEEK...! Jeremy came with me on Thursday, and we got to see how well baby girl is doing. She is still a mover and a shaker with whom the sonogram tech struggles to keep up. I'm a little afraid of what that means for us when she's crawling and walking, but let's focus on the here and now... :)

The Lessons Never End

Last night was my Uncle Steve's 50th birthday party. We made it there a little late - we had to get Luke home from school, feed him dinner, and change his (and our) clothes first. We were home for about an hour before we hit the road for the party.

We arrived - I'll admit, super excited not just to see everyone and share updates from my prenatal appointment earlier in the day - but to eat barbecue prepared by my Uncle Charlie. Oh y'all... SO GOOD.

Pregnancy Update: Almost 30 Weeks!

A recent post on my sister-in-law's blog has made me feel  guilty that I haven't posted more about my pregnancy! I guess the ultimate blessing is that there hasn't been any big news to post; things have gone just as they should, and Baby Girl is progressing perfectly!

January: Goal Goal Goal!

While I was a blog-updating machine over Christmas break, as I could have predicted, the return to work slowed my blogging pace down... but the life pace way, way up! Luke started a brand new schedule (which I wrote about here), so all of our lives have been a little different. I am happy to report that Luke has done a FANTASTIC job in his new school!

Happy New Year, everyone! It's hard to believe - yet very easy to understand - that it is 2013. The older I get, the bigger the paradox that the days sometimes go by slowly, filled with so many tasks, but the weeks and months FLY by. Before you know it, a new year begins. Absolutely crazy! 

It's a Christmas Miracle!!!!

Some of you with young kids may be familiar with the holiday video, "Elmo's Christmas Countdown." In it, Elmo and Stiller the Elf* try to save Christmas by recovering pieces 1-10 of the Christmas counter-downer so that Santa will come.
