Luke officially turns 6 this week, but yesterday, we went ahead and celebrated with our immediate families. After such a hectic week of starting kindergarten, we wanted to keep the celebration smaller... which, for our big bunch, is an intimate gathering of 15 people. :) We decided on Itz arcade in Euless because Luke just loves it!
Here are cousins Kate and Hallie. They're three months apart and, on Luke's birthday, will be 17 and 14 months old. Lord knows what these little girls will have in store for us come Christmas!
Here is Luke with his Aunt Lori. Luke just loves her, and it means so much to Jeremy and me that she goes out of her way to connect with him.
I wasn't able to get a picture of her, but we had the most amazing party hostess. She has brothers on the autism spectrum, and she went out of her way to be sure Luke was entertained while we waited our turn to hit the arcade floor.
That meant extra trips to the TICKET TORNADO!!! Oh my goodness did he love it so much!
There's not much in this world that makes me happier than seeing that beautiful smile!
The cousins gathered together for the birthday shout out. We didn't get a great pose because... well, they are four kids under the age of 6!
Sweet JD - he desperately wanted in the Ticket Tornado! He stayed on the pedestal for the birthday shout out, too! :) It's all good!
And again - a trip to the Ticket Tornado. :) Excellent hostess, I tell you.
Cupcakes...
Present opening...
Sweet Hallie with Uncle Chris...
AND FINALLY, IT WAS TIME TO PLAY!
Here are Alex and Alyssa racing.
Luke, at long last, getting to do his mini bowling.
And, though totally out of order, this picture cracks me up. What I would give to know what is going through Luke's head here. :)
Luke, you are so very loved! We hope you had a wonderful time at your party, because every day is wonderful with you!
