Here are a few blurbs with a few pictures of our slow-going summer!
At the end of June, Grandma and Grandpa Roberts visited, along with Aunt Michelle, Uncle Bobby, and cousin Alex. We had a great visit, and we look forward to seeing them all again this weekend!
Luke has taken quite an interest in building and puzzles. Here, he enjoys his building blocks, and the plastic bin I bought for storing them. (If I zoomed in really closely to the lid, you'd see the image of a child sitting in the bin with a big X through it. Oh well!)
What Luke enjoys the most is taking what his daddy builds and destroying it, much to Jeremy's disappointment.
Next, here's a red velvet cake I made with blue-dyed cream cheese frosting for the Fourth of July. I'm sure somewhere, enemies of freedom are quivering in fear of this emblem of freedom. Take that, terrorism! : )
We've also spent some quality time working on Luke's spoon skills. As you can tell, he's still a messy eater, but he's improving.
Luke's tastes continue to resemble his father's, though that does not mean, as it looks here, that we let him eat a leg of Church's chicken.
Finally, we got together last weekend for a swim at Aunt Mary's. Luke has loved pool time this summer, even when his mom makes him wear the longest sleeved swim shirts possible. Gotta protect that sweet baby skin from the sun!
Hope everyone is doing well - we're going to do our best to enjoy the last few weeks of summer as much as we can!
