We opened gifts at my parents' house. There, Luke got to hang out with his best bud, his grandfather. Luke's aunts and uncles were so generous, and he got lots of wonderful toys and outfits. The highlight, though was his new jumper from Honey and Grandfather! He was a little awestruck that day, but it is now one of his favorite toys when he stays there during the week.
The Rainforest Jump-a-roo. Luke loves this! Later on I'll post the video of his first time in it, but he really goes to town and just jumps all over the place. The seat swivels, so he has all kinds of different things to play with. It is so adorable, and it is a huge hit at our house. Christmas afternoon we enjoyed lunch at my parents' house with Mom's side of the family, and we all ate too much but had a great time.

This morning, Jeremy and I opened our presents to each other, but, most importantly, Luke got to see what Santa brought. Santa brought Luke a Light-Up Star Soother (which, if you're considering one for your little one, it is lame), and, this life-changing present...The Rainforest Jump-a-roo. Luke loves this! We hit the road for Winona to spend a night with Jeremy's parents and family. We had a wonderful time and ate great food (too much of it, as usual). Luke enjoyed some time with his Grandma and Grandpa and got some wonderful presents from his aunts and uncles. Aside from a really rough bedtime for Luke and, by extension, everyone (sorry about that, Roberts clan!), we had a really terrific time.

We left Winona for home and then headed back out to Grapevine to see my sister, Tara, brother-in-law, Steve, and niece Tessa for a brief visit before they headed back to Kansas City. Here's Tessa (~15 months old), who is far more beautiful than this photo does her credit. We had a nice visit, but, by this time, Luke was OVER IT. We spent the next six days at home resting and playing. It was glorious!
Okay... wow. Probably much more info than you wanted, but I can mark "Christmas blog" off my to do list. Yes! We hope you all had a wonderful holiday season, and we wish you all the best in 2009!
